  My father had THA with Dr Ollivierre 2+ yrs ago. The acetabular component was placed at an angle too anterior to keep the femoral head stable . My dad had multiple dislocations. Dr. Ollivierre blamed it on faulty prosthesis. My dad went back in for a revision and came out with a liner placed in the acetabulum to supposedly hold the head in socket, with no correction to the angle/acetabular component. obviously that did not correct the problem and my dad had subsequent dislocations. With every dislocation and after the surgeries, this took a "ding" on my extrememly active father's health. My father was being reassured that he was being taken care of and this is going to be fixed by Dr Ollivierre and his colleague , the developer of the prosthesis/liner. My dad realized they were out for their best interest and got a second opinion outside the practice and area. He had surgery 1 year ago for a total revision. This orthopedic physician realized immediately that the acetabular component was the issue and realigned and also revised the femoral head to different size to make more stabile. My dad was on a conservative post op course to make sure joint was stable. His soft tissue was stretched and disrupted from the numerous dislocations and the surgeries. After 9 months of restricted rehab, he was finally released from his new surgeons restrictions and started walking with only a cane, back to swimming, and advanced his rehab program.
  My dad was an active man, tennis player, golfer, avid swimmer/walker, artist, musician: wonderful man/
  His life was put on hold for a solid 2+ years.
  My dad was dx with Leukemia in feb, 2 months after being released from restrictions to move on with life. He passed away in March, never getting to reach that goal and spending the last 2 years in Hell. I wouldnt send my worst enemy to Dr Ollivierre.
